How to consult

In the 'Search Species' field, you can search for specific species: as you add letters, corresponding names will be suggested.

Subsequent filters allow you to specify the Tribe, Reproduction, Feeding Habits, Host Plants (organised into Families, Genera, and Species) and Distribution (organised into Areas and Nations) searched for. In the case of geographical distribution, it is also possible to search for species absent in certain Areas or Nations, using the fields 'NOT in Area' and 'NOT in Nation'.

Multiple values can be entered in the same field: in this case all species that have at least one of the indicated values will be filtered out [e.g., by searching in the 'Reproduction' field for the values 'Bigamous' and 'Monogamous', the database will provide all species that are bigamous OR monogamous]. Moreover, several different filters can also be entered for the same search: in this case all species with all the indicated characteristics will be filtered out [e.g., by searching for 'Quercus' in the 'Host Plants Genus' field and 'Italy' in the 'Nation' field, the database will provide all species that infest the genus Quercus AND that are present in Italy].

The 'View' option allows you to choose which information to display in the filtered species preview: general information on tribe and biology (General), host plants (Hosts), or geographical distribution (Geo).

Once you have filtered the results, you can export the information in csv format ('Export' section). First of all, you must select the file: 'General' (with information on species biology), 'Hosts' (with information on host plants), or 'Geo' (with information on geographical distribution). Then, you can press 'Export' button.
